focused on the best practices of the Culinary Arts career combining it with the areas of accounting, management and
marketing which is shown in my involvement with different activities of the UDLAP Business School.
I have worked both as a Treasurer and Secretary in the Culinary Arts Student Board and my tasks included income
and meetings record keeping, supporting and organizing different activities like gastronomic tours, beer and coffee
tastings and integration events. I have also been involved in Reto Negocios UDLAP (a business symposium organized
solely by students) as a collaborator and as assistant secretary of the event commission and my tasks were
organizing, participating and cooking in different events like a beer tasting and mezcal tasting. I also did a 6-month
Internship in the Application Lab of the UDLAP where I had the opportunity to perform different working positions both
in the kitchen and in service. After that I did a summer Internship in the UDLAP cafeteria where I also got to work in
different positions within the cafeteria.
I applied to an international internship because I believe that international experience is becoming increasingly
important for graduates nowadays. I am also very excited to get acquainted to a different country, culture and people,
like Thailand’s. I intend to work within a kitchen and I am very open to the possibility of working in different areas. I
chose this specific field of study because I have always been passionate about cooking and its social and cultural
implications. I also believe it is a challenge when working professionally in a kitchen.
